The hotel offers a three and a half hour guided walk through the beautiful trails of the primary forests of Curi Cancha Wildlife Refuge. It is led by the hotel’s professional naturalist guide and is a great opportunity for wildlife spotting and for developing a greater understanding of the rare and complex ecosystems that cloud forests are.
Curi Cancha being the most secluded of the Monteverde Preserves, and it offers guests the opportunity to see the Cloud Forest while avoiding the crowds. Groups are of maximum six people and leave the hotel at 7:45 every morning. Includes transportation and entrance fees. Book Now!
Monteverde has over 500 species of birds. That is over half of the species found in Costa Rica which in turn has more species than all of the United States and Canada combined. Our specialized bird watching tour is a five hour walk especially designed by the hotel’s naturist guide for expert and amateur bird lovers. Imparted by our professional naturalist guide, talks range in topics from ‘Mammals of Costa Rica’ to ‘Birds of the Cloud Forest’.
